Just came back from youth camp at Cameron highlands not long ago and I have to say its one of the best camps iv ever been to (iv been to some pretty lousy ones before) if I were to type my total experiences I don’t id have enough space or time so here’s two poems I wrote about the camp. These poems are also dedicated to all my real friends out there you know….who u are..
First there was nothing
Not even the faint echo of a song
Loneliness was daily for me
Until you came along
There was a gleam of stars in your eyes
I thought id never feel this way again
But you were the one to reach into my heart
And find in me a friend
I could not ignore the warmth
That I felt when you were near
And any problems eating my mind
Would suddenly disappear
It was the rebirth of my heart
The day you became my friend
Because I knew from he moment
I held you that I would find love again
To bear the storms that life may share;
To walk where only lions dare.
